Ehud Laniado quoted in The New York Times, September 2014: In a recent supplement on diamonds which appeared in the New York Times, global diamond pricing expert Ehud Laniado comments on the momentous acquisition of the $25.6 million Blue Moon diamond which he calls "a piece of history on this planet" and which he believes "speaks of the power and beauty of nature"

Diamonds are the ultimate objects of desire. So much so that today, the diamond industry is bracing itself for demand to outstrip supply. The recently published De Beers Diamond Insight Report claims demand for natural diamonds will rise at an impressive 11 per cent in the next four years while supply is expected to increase at a far more modest 5.2 per cent.
